Delete your account
Last updated 30 August 2026
You can ask us to delete your WM Live account at any time. This page explains how to request it, how long it takes, and exactly what is removed.
Delete it yourself, in the app
The quickest way, and it takes effect immediately:
- Open Me, then the settings icon.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. If you signed in with Google or a phone number, type DELETE instead.
Your account is closed as soon as you confirm. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
Or ask us to do it
If you cannot sign in, send an email to wmvoicesupport@gmail.com from the address on your account, or message us on WeChat at +85297234869, with:
- The subject line Delete my account.
- Your user ID, which you can copy from your profile in the app.
- The email address or phone number you signed up with.
We ask for these so we can be sure the request is coming from the person who owns the account. We will not delete an account on the word of somebody we cannot identify.
How long an emailed request takes
We confirm the request within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days. If anything delays it we will tell you why.
What is deleted
- Your profile — display name, username, photo, cover image, bio, gender, date of birth and country.
- Your login details, including your email address, phone number and password.
- Your direct messages.
- Your room, and the seats, moderators and settings that belong to it.
- Items you owned from the mall, and anything you were wearing.
- Your followers, the people you follow, and your block lists.
What is kept, and why
A small amount of information outlives the account, because the law requires it or because deleting it would rewrite somebody else’s history:
- Financial records. Coin purchases, diamond payouts and withdrawal requests are kept for as long as accounting and anti-fraud rules require. These are held against the transaction, not against a live profile.
- Gifts you sent to other people. The gift stays in the recipient’s history, because it is part of what they earned. Your name is removed from it.
- Moderation records, where an account was closed for abuse. Keeping these is what stops the same person immediately signing up again.
Before you delete
Deletion is permanent. Two things are worth doing first:
- Spend or withdraw any diamonds you are holding. They cannot be recovered or transferred once the account is gone.
- Note that coins, gifts and mall items have no cash value and are not refunded on deletion — see our terms.
Suspending instead
If you only want to step away, you do not have to delete anything. Signing out leaves your account exactly as it is, and you can come back to it whenever you like.
