Child safety standards
Last updated 30 August 2026
WM Live is an adult service with a zero-tolerance stance on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out what we prohibit, how we act on it, and how to reach us.
1. Our commitment
Child sexual abuse and exploitation is forbidden on WM Live without exception. There is no context, no room and no private conversation in which it is tolerated. We report it to the relevant authorities and we close the accounts involved permanently.
These standards apply everywhere in the service — in live voice rooms, in room chat, in direct messages, on profiles, on room covers, and in usernames.
2. This is an adult service
You must be 18 years or older to create an account. Accounts ask for a date of birth at sign-up, and the terms of service make the minimum age a condition of use.
Where we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 — from a report, from what a person says about themselves, or from our own review — we close it and delete the data associated with it. We do not require proof of age to act on a credible report; a reasonable belief that a user is a minor is enough.
3. What is prohibited
- Any sexual content involving a minor, real or generated, including drawings, animation and computer-generated imagery.
- Sexualising a minor in text, speech, imagery, usernames, room names or profile content.
- Grooming — building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, or any attempt to do so.
- Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate imagery of a minor.
- Soliciting, offering, trading or advertising child sexual abuse material.
- Arranging or advertising the trafficking of, or sexual contact with, a minor.
- Directing a minor to a service, room or platform where any of the above takes place.
Attempting any of these is treated the same as doing it.
4. How to report it
Anyone can report this, whether or not they hold an account, and you do not need to be the person affected.
- Email us at wmvoicesupport@gmail.com with the subject line CHILD SAFETY. Reports carrying that subject are prioritised ahead of ordinary support.
- Include the user ID and the room if you have them, and the approximate time. It is what lets us find the account.
- In the app, a room’s host and their moderators can remove and block somebody immediately. Do that first if something is happening live, then report it to us.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service and cannot intervene in person.
5. What we do about a report
Every report of this kind is reviewed by a person, not a queue.
- Accounts are suspended as soon as a report is credible — before the review is finished, not after it.
- Confirmed cases result in permanent closure of every account involved, including accounts created to evade a closure.
- We preserve the account records and the reported content for the authorities rather than deleting them, even when the account itself is closed.
- We report to law enforcement and to the appropriate child protection body in the relevant jurisdiction, and we respond to lawful requests from them.
Our account deletion process does not erase moderation records. An account closed for this reason stays recorded, which is what stops the same person quietly signing up again.
6. Prevention
- An 18+ minimum age, stated in the terms of service and asked for at sign-up.
- Community guidelines that prohibit sexual content in rooms, on profiles and on room covers outright, so the surrounding environment is not one where this is normalised.
- Moderation in the hands of the people present: hosts and their moderators can mute, remove and block without waiting for us.
- A reporting route that is published here and in the app rather than buried.
We keep these measures under review and will strengthen them as the service grows.
7. Point of contact
Child safety matters, including requests from law enforcement and child protection organisations, should go to wmvoicesupport@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge these within 24 hours.
8. Related policies
These standards sit alongside our community guidelines, terms of service and privacy policy, and take precedence over any of them where they conflict.
